Never underestimate the power of speaking.

I know how much courage it can take to allow oneself to be vulnerable in the presence of another.

I also know that the experience of speaking freely can lead to increased spontaneity and ease in the therapeutic process.  I regularly observe my clients gain greater insight into themselves along with achieving inner fulfilment and a positive outlook on life and improved relationships.

For clients who may struggle to speak about their thoughts and feelings, I often find Sandtray and Art therapy are very beneficial to help the person to express their feelings more.

In a Sandtray Therapy session, the client has access to a wide selection of miniature objects and figures which he or she places in trays of sand to create imaginary landscapes or to visualize past or present events.

Art therapy involves the use of creative techniques such as drawing, painting, collage, colouring, or sculpting. This uses the creative process of making art to improve a person’s physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
